Coldplay Concert Ticket Scam: Ahmedabad Police have arrested a man for illegally selling tickets to Coldplay’s upcoming concert at five times their original price. The accused, Akshay Patel, was caught near Narendra Modi Stadium, where the British band is set to perform on January 25 and 26.
Tickets Sold at Inflated Prices
Acting on a tip-off, Chandkheda police apprehended Patel, who was selling:
- ₹2,500 tickets for ₹10,000
- ₹4,500 tickets for ₹15,000
Authorities recovered six tickets from his possession.

Coldplay tickets, originally priced between ₹6,500 (General) and ₹25,000 (Presidential Gallery), were sold out within hours. Patel took advantage of this high demand by selling the lower-priced tickets at inflated rates.

Officials are investigating whether more individuals are involved in this ticket resale racket.
Meanwhile, Coldplay is currently in Mumbai, where they performed on January 19 and are set to play again on January 21 in Navi Mumbai before heading to Ahmedabad for their much-anticipated shows.
