Ramesh Dube Lok Sabha Elections: A former state minister and ex-MP, has denied any financial connection between his son’s company and Pradeep Sharma, a former encounter specialist who is facing murder charges. He clarified that Income Tax officials conducted a search at his property based on suspicion but found nothing illegal.

Dube is currently preparing to contest in the Lok Sabha elections from Uttar Pradesh. His 50-year-long political career began as a corporator in Mumbai’s municipal corporation, followed by two terms as an MLA in Mumbai. In 2007, he won a parliamentary seat from Uttar Pradesh as a Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) candidate.

Earlier this month, Income Tax officials conducted searches at multiple locations, including the home of former IAS officer Nirmal Deshmukh, ex-police inspector Pradeep Sharma, and the construction company owned by Dube’s son, Rajeev Dube.

Following the raid, Deshmukh stated that he couldn’t recall approving any specific slum rehabilitation projects for Dube’s company. He confirmed that he had provided all necessary information to tax officials.

Ramesh Dube Lok Sabha Elections: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has discovered cash stockpiles, fixed deposits, and property investments during searches at over 35 locations, including the family home of former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik.

The investigation started after Malik exposed details of an alleged ₹200-crore bribery case. He has accused government agencies of misusing their authority and has openly expressed support for farmers. Malik dismissed the importance of the raids, stating that officials would only find his simple clothing like kurta-pyjama.

Call for Public Vote on Mumbai Racecourse Redevelopment

Former corporator Makarand Narwekar has demanded that the Mumbai Municipal Corporation hold a public vote on the redevelopment of Mumbai’s racecourse land. He argues that approval from Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC) members isn’t enough and that Mumbai’s citizens should have a say in the matter.

Narwekar has also warned that if the municipal body does not conduct a public vote, he will approach Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to escalate the matter.

The Corporate Affairs Ministry has launched an investigation into Chinese companies, particularly those linked to loan apps, for possible violations of Indian financial laws. The Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) is leading this probe.

Security agencies have intensified their crackdown on illegal loan apps that violate financial regulations under Indian company laws. The government continues to take strict action against financial fraud and corruption to maintain transparency and accountability in business and governance.
